Aalborg Events
The City Of Aalborg
established an Event
Secretariat in 2001, whose
main task is to
attract, engage in planning and
implementation of new major
events. In 2008 the Twin
City and Branding Secretariat was
implemented under Aalborg Events.
Mission - Vision -
Goals
Organizations, institutions, associations, businesses and public
authorities, through a coordinated effort create large, spectacular
events.
Events have a profile and identity function, and tourism is
strengthened through significant events. Events also have a role in
strengthening the international cooperation Aalborg already is
engaged in.
Examples of events: The Tall Ships Races, UEFA under 21 EM
Championship, the festival Aalborg in Red, "AERO" by Jean Michel
Jarre, Youth Games, Che Guevara exhibition, Company Sports Festival
2005, Melodi Grand Prix and Champions League.
